Burma VJ

The acclaimed documentary “Burma VJ” about underground video journalism during the 2007 Saffron Revolution in Burma, will be playing at the Fox Tower cinema in downtown Portland (846 SW Park Ave, 503-221-3280) starting June 5th. There will be several showings each day, and it is expected to play there for at least a week.

Following the June 5th and 6th 7:35 PM showings of “Burma VJ” at the Fox Tower (Portland, Oregon) there will be an audience Q&A session with Burma expert Edith Mirante and a member of Portland’s Burmese exile community. They will provide information on how the 2007 Saffron Revolution, depicted in “Burma VJ” relates to the current situation in Burma and the trial of Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi.
